JOSEPH RONALD THOMPSON, SR, 94, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011.
He was retired from Halls Transfer and was a Marine veteran of World War II who served on Guadalcanal.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Pollock Thompson; children, Donna Jean Thompson, Joseph “Ron” Thompson, Jr., Debbie Johnson, Denise Hinkle and Diane Thompson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and brother, Charlie Thompson.
The service will be 11am Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow. Visitation will be Thursday 3-7pm at the funeral home.
