Robert F. Wieners, Jr., 51, of Brockton, died April 17, 2011 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband for 22 years of Kerrie (Taylor) Wieners. Born, raised and educated in Dorchester, he was the son of Robert F. Wieners of Boston and Arlene (Healey) (Wieners) Morrissey of Brockton, and was the stepson of James Morrissey, Sr.
Over the years, Bob had been employed as a Correctional Officer, Drill Instructor, Court Officer and Deputy Sherriff. While in the Army Reserves he was deployed to Kosovo and did a tour of duty in Iraq.
Bob was the father of Kory R. and Brooke K. Wieners; brother of Barbara Lyon and her husband Leonard, Caren Sartori and her husband Michael, Christine Sceppa and her husband John, William Wieners and his wife Cheryl, Annmarie Bobst and her husband Keith and Nancy Wieners and her companion Harry Bobst. He was the son in law of Barbara A. Taylor and Bernard J. Goodman and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Wednesday 2-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Thursday at 9am. Funeral Service in St. Patrick Church at 10am. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
