Obituary

Lorna Frances ( MacKinnon ) Ziegler an 18 year resident of Stoughton, passed away at home April 17, 2011. She was 47 years old. She was the beloved wife of Frederick A. “ Rick “ Ziegler and the Cherished daughter of C. Marie ( MacNeil) MacKinnon of Dedham and the late Stephen R. MacKinnon. Loving mother of Katherine M. Ziegler and Brian J. Ziegler both of Stoughton. She is also survived by her sisters, Catherine A. MacKinnon of Dedham, Sharon M. Martin and her husband Robert of Easton, Sheila B. Rozanski and her husband Joseph of Framingham and her two brothers, Stephen M. MacKinnon and his wife Angela of New Hampshire and Charles V. MacKinnon and his wife Cheryl of West Roxbury. Other survivors include her granddaughter Charlotte E. Ziegler of Stoughton and 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Born June 19, 1963 in Sydney, Nova Scotia, she had resided in Brookline and West Roxbury before moving to Stoughton . She attended Brookline Public Schools and was a 1982’ graduate of Brookline High School. She also attended Newbury College (CLASS 0F 1992') in Boston and received her A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care.

Mrs. Ziegler was employed for over twenty years as a Respiratory Therapist at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.

Lorna was a communicant and attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton. She enjoyed playing soccer and attending her sons sporting events.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday April 20,2011 at 10:30 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Followed by a mass of christian burial for the repose of her soul at 12 noon from the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Rt. 27 Stoughton.Cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 19, 2011 from 4 – 8 P.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton.All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, C/O Melanoma Research, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline ,MA 02445 in Lorna’s memory, would be appreciated.
