FALL RIVER… Stefania R. “Stella” (Sokolowski) Erdmann, 91, of Fall River died Friday, April 1, 2011.
She was the widow of Carl D. Erdmann, Sr.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Frank and Helena (Tworlowski) Sokolowski.
She was employed as a seamstress with the former Darwood MFG., for many years.
Mrs. Erdmann was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church, Rockland Street, Fall River where she volunteered making pierogi, a member of the Holy Rosary Solidarity, and St. Stanislaus Seniors Club. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Tiverton V.F.W. and the South Main Street Seniors. She enjoyed bingo, visiting the sick, and day trips to Foxwoods Resort and Casino.
Survivors include a son C. Dennis Erdmann of Brightman, MA, 2 grandchildren: Patricia Panizza and Jill Morrissey, 2 great grandchildren: Mathew and Brandon Panizza, several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Cynthia J. Morrissey.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 9AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 36 Rockland Street, Fall River, MA. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Fall River. Calling hours Wednesday 5 – 8 PM.
