Beatrice (Mello) Ferreira, age 87 of Fall River passed away April 17, 2011. She was the widow of Gilbert Ferreira and daughter of the late Antone & Adelaide (Mendonca) Mello and stepdaughter of the late Sarah Mello Bispo. Beatrice was a lifelong resident of Fall River who retired after 21 years as a machine operator at Spectrum Mfg. Previously she worked as a screen printer. She was a current member of Immaculate Conception Church but a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church.
Mrs. Ferreira was the mother of William Ferreira (wife Michele Ossick) of Tiverton, Steven Ferreira (wife Jeanette Edwards) of Chelmsford, Judith Coroa (husband Daniel) and Patricia Horan (husband Michael) of Fall River and the late Geraldine Ferreira. She was grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 18.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, N. Main St. at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
