Martha Foster Norris, 90, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Parmer and Rev. Sonny Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home
Mrs. Norris was born in Wichita, Kansas, on October 30, 1920 to the late Inez Daniels Greer and Robert Foster. She lived in Fitzgerald most all of her life where she was a former employee of H.R. Kaminsky and Sons and was a supervisor for SWS Garment Company. She was an excellent seamstress who sewed for many in the community. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Jim & Evelyn Norris of Canton, GA and Don & Betty Norris of Fitzgerald; and daughter and son-in-law Tonnie and Wendell Carter of Canton, GA 8 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon E. Norris, and a brother, Bobby Foster.
