TEWKSBURY - Susan M. (Larkin) May, age 93, a resident of Tewksbury for the last two years,died Thursday evening, Jan. 22, at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Francis H. “Frank” May, who died in 1960.
She was born in New York, Nov. 30, 1910, a daughter of the late James and Susan (McSorley)Larkin, and was raised in New York City. She lived in the Sycaway section of Troy N.Y., formore than sixty years. She came to live with her son and daughter-in-law in Tewksbury two yearsago.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy for 60 years, and St. William’sChurch in Tewksbury for the last two years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan E. and Warren Schleich of Epping, NH;three sons and four daughters-in-law, Walter D. and Jo Anna (Sicko) May of Tewksbury, PeterM. and Rosemary (Riegert) May of Troy, NY, Christopher M. and Susan (Hopwood) May ofBurlington, VT, Marjorie (Miron) May of Troy, NY; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Francis James May; and sister of the late Alice, Peter, andEmmett Larkin.
Her Funeral Mass was held Monday, Jan. 26, in St. William’s Church. Intermentwas held Tuesday, Jan. 27, in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy, NY.
