ROCKINGHAM: Mr. Elmon Lacy Tyler, 80, of Rockingham, died Monday, April 11, 2011 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 15, in the Sweet Haven Church with Pastor Mitchell Roller officiating. Internment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park.
Elmon was born in Loris, SC, on May 12, 1930. He was a member of Sweet Haven Church and retired from textiles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Kelly Tyler and several siblings.
He is survived by two sons, Ken Tyler and Kim Tyler of Henderson, NV; a daughter, Freda Grant of Carolina Shores, NC; and a brother, J.C. Tyler of Myrtle Beach, SC.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-4:00 Pm at Sweet Haven Church.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church.
