Amelia J. (Balestracci) Armanetti, 94, of New Bedford died April 13, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Anthony L. Armanetti.
Born in Bridgewater, the daughter of the late Emilio and Ida (Baldini) Balestracci, she lived in New Bedford most of her life while wintering in Florida.
Mrs. Armanetti was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and travel.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Tarpey and her husband Charles of New Bedford; a brother, Henry Balestracci of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a sister, Mary Queen of Mashpee; 3 grandchildren, Michael Tarpey and his wife Monique Poyant, Marc Tarpey and Thomas Tarpey and his wife Deirdre, all of New Bedford; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, April 15th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, April 14th from 4-7 PM.
