Myrtle Nichols Wilson, age 84, Danville, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 in the Virginia Baptist Hospital, Lynchburg, VA.
Born July 6, 1926 in Franklin County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Christopher Nichols and Rosie Thompson Nichols. She lived most of her life in the Brosville Community. She was married to Bobbie Wilson, who predeceased her.
Survivors include three daughters: Rhonda Haymore of Forest, VA, Debra Ellis of Marion, VA, Carolyn Wilson of Callands, VA; one sister: Mary Frances Nichols of Roanoke; one brother: Junior Nichols, also of Roanoke. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Rufus Nichols.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Dr. Charles Scearce will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cross Family Cemetery in Axton, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m at the funeral home. At other times, they will be at 1503 Honey Road, Trailor 2, Danville.
