LARRY K. PHARIS, 71, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
He was President/CEO of Larry K. Pharis Construction, Inc. for the past 24 years and a former supervisor at Henry Vogt Machine Co. He was a founding member of Harvest Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Pharis.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Barbara J. (Whobrey) Pharis; children, Keith A. Pharis (Joy) and Vicki C. Pharis Hertel (Rich); grandchildren, Corey, Laura, Bradley, Clayton and Carlie Love; father, Carl Pharis; brother, Louis Pharis (Melba) and sister, Benita Minton (Jim).
His service will be 12 noon Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church, 9205 Brown Austin Road, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be Friday 10am-8pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway and after 10am Saturday at his church.
