Jackie Ray Vincent, of 909 Arnett Blvd., died April 4, 2011 at Danville Regional Medical Center; he was 69.
He was born April 27, 1941 to the late Tom Vincent and Leah Hankins Vincent of Williamson, West Virginia. He worked in Dan River Mills as a loom fixer until he retired. Before working for Dan River he was a coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company. He was married to Nancy Carol Vincent. He enjoyed living life.
Mr. Vincent is survived by four sons: Jackie Ray “Pete” Vincent, Jr., Charles William Vincent, Tom Wesley Vincent, and Cody Ray Vincent; four grandchildren: Nancy Michelle Pruitt, Jackie Ray “Frankie” Vincent, III, Daniel Ray Vincent, and Nancy Carol Brittney; one great grandchild, Braelynn Pruitt; and close family friend, Linda Fisher.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7 at Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. At other times the family may be reached at 909 Arnett Blvd., Danville, Virginia.
