Obituary

Eleanor Williams (Harris) Teal, 90, of Danvers, died peacefully on Saturday morning, April 2, 2011 after a short illness. She was a life-long resident of Danvers. She was educated in Danvers graduating from Holten High School, Class of 37. She attended Salem Commercial College. In 1983 Eleanor retired from Hunt Memorial Hospital where she was Manager of Patients Accounts. Eleanor was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church where she was a member of the Altar Guild, former member of its Vestig, church school teacher, and choir member. She, also, chaired many of its fund raising events through earlier years.
She was a volunteer of the Visiting Care Network, as well as a member of: Danvers Antiques Study Group, Danvers Women’s Association, Danvers Garden Club, Friends of the Library and Friends of Glen Magna and the Danvers Historical Society where she was for many years a member of its Board of Directors.
Eleanor loved her family and friends and enjoyed music and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew her. Eleanor is survived by her brother David N. Harris, Sr. of Danvers as wells as, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Eleanor (Williams) Harris, her stepmother Muriel M. Harris, her husband Robert W. Teal, and her son Walter A. Teal.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wed., April 6, 2011 in Calvary Episcopal Church, 46 Cherry St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Wadsworth Cemetery, Danvers. Vst. hrs are Tues. from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
