Philip Wayne Thompson, age 52 of Clarksville, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Baptist Hospital, Nashville.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Madison Street Church of Christ, with Geoffrey Sikes and John Dorris officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.
He was born February 5, 1959 the son of Vernon Ray Thompson and Florence Givens Thompson.
Philip is survived by his mother, Pat Thompson of Clarksville; one daughter, Brittany (Daniel) Symonds of Clarksville; one brother, Ray E. Thompson (Cindie) of Clarksville; one grandchild, Karson Symonds; five nieces, Regina, Tiffany, Ashley, Lindsey, Michelle and two nephews, Steve and Ryan.
Pallbearers will be Steve Gosney, Melvin Van Hooser, Glenn Thompson, Norman Jeter, Johnny Dorris, Steve Dorris and Dave Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders of Madison Street Church of Christ.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to Madison Street Church of Christ Building Fund or to the FUEL program at the church.
