Methuen, MA – Genevieve A. (Hmurciak) Allatt, 92, died Friday, April 1st at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Lawrence on December 28th, 1918, Genevieve was the daughter of Stephen and Annie (Wotku) Hmurciak. She was educated in Lawrence and a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1936.
For over 28 years, Genevieve worked as a technician for Western Electric in North Andover.
Genevieve enjoyed traveling and playing golf with her dear companion Joseph. She will be sadly missed.
The widow of the late Fredrick Allatt who died in 1961, Genevieve is survived by her best friend and loving companion of 43 years, Joseph E. Richard of Methuen, two sisters, Viola O’Conner of Vista, CA, and Alice Brown of Newport Beach, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
Genevieve’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all of the nurses and staff at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, for showing love and care to Genevieve while she was there.
