Barbara E. “Bunny” (Root) Martin, 56, a very loving and caring mother and friend died Saturday January 17, 2004 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after a brief illness. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Born in Lawrence, MA she was educated in Windham public schools and graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry. She worked at Market Basket in Nashua and she was a member of the Windham Presbyterian Church where she was involved with the Ladies Benevolent Society, always thinking of others before herself.
The daughter of the late Leo and Barbara (Lamson)
she is survived by her sons,Joseph of Derry, NH, David and his wife Amy of Nashua, NH
and her daughter Sheila Martin – Gallop also of Nashua, NH
and a granddaughter Talia Martin of Nashua.
Her 2 sisters Marleen Benoit & her husband Dan of New Ipswich, NH, Deborah Gagne & her husband Al of Nashua.
Her 4 brothers Leo J. Root & his wife Ilse of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dennis Root & his wife Janice of Windham, NH, Paul Root & his wife Barbara of Goffstown, NH and Leo S. Root of Windham, NH and
many nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday January 23rd from 4-8pm at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street in Salem, NH.
A memorial service will be Sunday Jan. 25th at 2:00pm at the Windham Presbyterian Church in Windham, NH.
