Obituary

Edward L. Twohig Jr., of Sandwich, formerly of Canton, died March 31, 2011 in the Cape Cod Hospital following a long illness. He was 83.

Ed was a proud veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Navy and a retired Boston Police Detective serving for over 35 years until retiring in 1988. Ed was also a past member of the Canton Town Club.

Beloved husband of Mary C. ( Maloney). Loving father of Susan Twohig of Boston, Edward Twohig III of Essex VT., Janet Frongillo and her husband Richard of Bedford N.H., and the late Ann Marie Twohig. Proud grandfather of Rachel Tripp, John, Thomas, and William Frongillo.

Visiting hours in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton, Sunday from 4-8. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, Washington St., Canton, Monday April 4, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
