Obituary

Clarence Elmer Walker, Jr., 86, of 417 Skyline Avenue, died at his residence on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Born in Pittsylvania County on June 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Clarence E. Walker, Sr. and
Carmen Huff Walker. He was married to Cecile Cassada Walker who predeceased him. He was a US Army
veteran and he owned and operated his own heating and air conditioning business.

Mr. Walker is survived by one son, Jimmie Wayne Walker of Danville; one daughter, Pamela Walker Haley
and her husband, Lee, of Danville; one brother, Garland Walker and his wife, Rebecca, of Danville, and two
sisters, Elaine Gunn of Danville and Mildred Hopkins and her husband, Wayne, also of Danville. Other survivors
include grandchildren: Heather Haley Morris and her husband, Jason, of Danville, Jamie Lee Haley of Danville, and
Amanda Haley Richmond and her husband, Evan, of Pelham; Great-grandchildren: Caitlyn Marie Haley,
Haley Mae Morris, Amelia Grace Morris and Gavin Walker Richmond. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased
by one daughter, Starlette Marie Walker, and two sisters, Gwen Thurman and Clara Owen.

Graveside services for Mr. Walker will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens
with the Rev. Barry Crumpton officiating. The family will receive friends at Barker Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday,
April 3, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.. At other times they will be at the residence 417 Skyline Avenue, Danville.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Blessed Hope Baptist Church Building Fund,
1118 Franklin Tpke., Danville, VA, 24540.
