Louis Travis Jr., age 68 of Somerset passed away April 2, 2011. He was husband of Catherine (Gregory) Travis and son of the late Louis and Gertrude (Perry) Travis. Louis was a retired Bus Driver for Bonanza Bus Lines and previously he worked as a machinist at Morse Twist Drill Co. of New Bedford and at Avco Lycoming Division in Stratford CT. He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the Silver City Baptist Church of Taunton.
He is survived by his wife; 3 children: Scott Travis of West Haven, CT, Christopher Travis of Lakeville and William Travis of Naugatuck, CT; brother: David Travis of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Gregory, Jocelyn and Jessica Travis; niece: Hope and nephews David and Paul Travis.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY with calling hours from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. followed by a service from 10:30-11:30 A.M. PRIVATE interment in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
