Ruth Russ Vickers, Nicholls, GA passed away on March 29, 2011 at Hazlehurst Court & Rehab.
Mrs. Vickers was born on June 3, 1926 to the late William James and Susie Mae Crenshaw Russ in Nicholls, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Otis Vickers and a brother: John William “J. W.” Russ.. She was a homemaker and she was a member of Saginaw Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Saginaw Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with interment following in the Satilla Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: daughters: Kathy Karen Vickers, Nicholls, GA, Deborah (Jerry) Anne Sutton, Douglas, GA; son: Johnny Allen Vickers, Broxton, GA; brother: Dan Russ, Nashville, GA; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
