Anderson Rose T. (Cotter) passed away on March 26th at the age of 82. Wife of Charles O. Anderson of Plymouth for 26 years. Mother of George R. Cotter and his wife Kathleen of Duxbury, and the Late Cheryl R. DeSimone. Sister of Frank Ryan of Billerica and the late William Ryan, Margaret Ryan, Mary Ahearn, and Mildred Vossmer. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Rose was born in Somerville and grew up in Arlington. Moved to Cambridge and became wife to the late George R. Cotter Sr for over 28 years. Before becoming mother and homemaker, she was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Boston. Rose was an active member of St Bonaventure Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Bonnie Seniors. She was an avid seamstress and loved to make crafts.
Funeral from the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Rd. (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) Thursday march 31 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at St Bonaventure Church at 10:00 AM . Visiting Hours will be at the funeral home Wednesday March 30th 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimers Association 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
