James Harold Fisher, 85, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at home, surrounded by family & friends.
He was born in Louisville, KY to Roy J. & Lagoria (Nevitt) Fisher.
"Jim" was retired from General Electric production management, after 31 years service. He also was a driver for 22 years at Schardein Mechanical.
He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of WWII & Korea. He was a member of St. Pauls Baptist Church at Shively Heights. He also was an avid Hunter, Fisherman and Golfer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 61 years, Rebecca P. Fisher, who just passed 11 months ago.
Survivors include his children: Karen Harris (Rick) and James "Jim" Harold Fisher II (Karen); 2 grandchildren: Captain James Harold Fisher III and Margaret Fisher; 2 Sisters: Dorothy Compton and Dolores Needy; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Monday 2 - 8 PM. Expressions of Sympathy: Humane Society and U.S.O.
