In Taunton, March 23, 2011, of Eastbridge Rd in Taunton Donald E. White husband of Carolyn (Ashley) White for fifty four years died at Longmeadow of Taunton at the age of 78. Born in Raynham, Donald was the son of the late Almon and Rose (Loiselle) White. Donald was a graduate of Taunton High School class of 1951 then enrolled in the US Army during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of the former White’s Golf Services in Taunton for thirty years and also worked at Reed & Barton in Taunton. He was a member of Segregansett Country Club in Taunton, Taunton Civic Chorus and active with the Boys and Girls Club of Taunton. Donald was the father of Scott White of Pawtucket, RI, Susan McGuire and her husband Robin of Pascoag, RI, Bonnie Ferranti of Taunton, Nancy Nichols and her husband Craig of Taunton and Alexis White of Taunton. Grand father of six and two great grandchildren. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday, March 31st at 10 AM. Mass will be held at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Wed from 4-8 PM. Interment Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
