Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday. at 9 am. The Service of the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7 pm. Service of Incense at 6 pm. Donations in Yvonne’s memory may be made to St. Theresa Church.
Obituary
Mrs. Asacker died Sat. at the Brockton Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Iyub L. Asacker for 56 years.Mrs. Asacker was born in Rio de Janairo, Brazil daughter of the late Slaimen and Elise (Laborie) Slaimen. She was raised and educated in Providence, RI and was a graduate of Central High School. She has been a resident of Brockton for the past 64 years.
Before her retirement Mrs. Asacker worked in the payroll department of Foot Joy Shoe in Brockton. She had also worked at Gladdings Department Store in Providence.
She enjoyed bowling and had belonged to the Knights of Columbus Ladies League.She was also an accomplished seamstress.
She is survived by her son and daughter (as above) and two grandsons.She was the sister of Barbara Ashcroft of Warwick, RI; Alice Rosati of Providence; Eva Carrara, Eleanor Slaimen, Leonie DiCostanzo and Fernand Slaimen all of Johnston, RI,: and the late Yvette and Yvon Slaimen and Yvonnaic DiPippo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews
