Obituary

Kevin C. Kehoe, 60, of Evans Road, Chepachet, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Roger Williams Hospital. He was the husband of Rhonda Brown-Kehoe and father of Connor Kehoe and the late Graham B Kehoe.

Born in Newport, he was a son of the late Charles G. and Marcella (Wroblewski) Kehoe. He had been a resident of Chepachet for 17 years. A graduate of Rogers High School, Community College of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College

He had been a supervisor accountant at Harmony Hill School and a Newport RIPTA Local #618 bus driver before retiring. He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society for accountants, NENSA Sailing Society in Narragansett, a brown belt kaaraate student and a member of the National Neimann-Pick Foundation.

He is also survived by his siblings Diane Griffin of Big Rapids, MI, Patrick Kehoe of North Providence, Eileen Kehoe of Newport, his cousins, Fr. Gene O’Brien and Sr. Mauryeen O’Brien, his devoted friends,(aka 2nd and 3rd wives) Martha R Brown and Pat McDermott and many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was well known for his loud contagious laugh, enjoying spoof moments incorporating the help of side kick Connor. He was a toolman first, a strong believer in sweat equity and a saver of anything related to or could be used again for gardening or tools. A born city boy, he relished in gardening(while playing loud country music), grass cutting and the animals of the woods

Anything broken, he thought he could fix. However cancer challenged him. He never wanted to know the time frame, living life disquising chemo pumps and pain. Even when cancer appeared victorious, he still fought and HE WON. A truly spiritual guy, his religion was ever present doing trials and fun.

He was the love of our lives, the sensitive soul of music and prose, the continous reader of John D MacDonald novels, a fan of Bruce Lee and cable fish and fix it shows.

Respect and love inscribed in his ring will mentor us as we live on. We cry not for him, but for us as he plays his Taylor Guitars for family members from heaven. There will never be enough tools and things to fix!

His funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10am in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation Friday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Please omit flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to NNPDF, P.O. Box 310, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538 or Harmony Hill School Fishing Tournament, 63 Harmony Hill School, Harmony, RI 02829.
