ALLEN, Michael - Of Dedham passed away on March 18, 2011 at age 66 after a courageous battle with Pick's Disease.
He was the beloved husband of Linda (Johnson) Allen, loving father of John MacAulay Allen and Victoria Brown Allen, son of the late Franklin S. Allen and the late Marguerite (Gerber) Allen, dear brother of Marsha Tarantelli and her husband L. Thomas Tarantelli, Joan Brady, Kathryn Allen and her husband the late Ellis R. Martin, Jr. and Thomas Allen. He also leaves his aunt, K. Elizabeth Gerber, his mother-in-law, S. Elizabeth Johnson, his sister-in-law, Karen L. Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
He is remembered for his love and dedication to his family and friends; unfailingly polite, always ready with quiet strength and a generous heart.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 26, 2011 at St. Paul's Church, 59 Court Street, Dedham. Burial will be private. To celebrate Michael's pride and love for his children and the role that DCD played in their lives, donations may be made to Dedham Country Day School, 90 Sandy Valley Road, Dedham, MA 02026.
