Obituary

Adella Z. Arruda, 84, of New Bedford died March 21, 2011 at Sacred Heart Home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Everett Arruda.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Jan and Helena (Izyk) Scieszka, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Arruda was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
She was formerly employed as a waitress at Lorraine's Coffee Shop before retiring as a cafeteria worker from Carney Academy.
Mrs. Arruda enjoyed cooking, old movies and watching the QVC Channel.
Survivors include 3 sons, Steven Arruda and his wife Susan of East Freetown, Edward DeMoranville of New Bedford and Frederick DeMoranville and his wife Lillian of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Daisy White of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Richard DeMoranville.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Friday, March 25th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday, March 24th from 6-8 PM.
