Mary M. (King) Mitchell, 85, of New Bedford died Monday January 12, 2004 at her daughter's home in Fort Myers, Florida. She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Mitchell, and daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Oliver) King.
A native of North Eastham, Mass., she had lived in New Bedford since 1951.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church in North Dartmouth, Mass.
Mrs. Mitchell was formerly employed with New England Telephone and Telegraph until her retirement.
She was active in the Telephone Workers Union.
Survivors include a son, Mervin Steele of South Dartmouth; 4 daughters, Winnie McLaws of Fort Myers, Linda Fabianowicz of Poway, CA, Sharon Ross of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Diane Kizer of Sunnyvale, CA; a brother, George King of Naples, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
