Mr. Raymond J. Kampe, a longtime resident of Medford, Massachusetts and beloved husband of the late Myrtle (Humphrey) Kampe, died at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham on Saturday, March 12, 2011. He was 90 years old.
Born in Covington, Kentucky on March 10, 1921, he was the beloved son of the late Fred Kampe.
Raymond enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling to his birthplace, Covington Kentucky, to visit family and friends. He was a very intelligent man and it was always a pleasure to be in his company.
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and was the loving brother of Henrietta Penicle and Cyril, Fred, Jr. and Robert Kampe.
His interment service was held in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, West Peabody, on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Several relatives and friends were in attendance. Arrangements were entrusted to the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Medford.
