Lee Anne Kardon 53, of Franklin, died peacefully on Sunday March 13, 2011 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, on August 2, 1957 a daughter of the late Samuel and Shirelle (Lissner) Kardon, she had been a resident of Franklin since November 2010, and previously resided in Florida, Oregon, and Illinois.
Ms. Kardon was raised and educated in Rolling Meadows, Illinois and until her illness forced her to retire, she was a long-distance truck driver for the Bennett Trucking Company. She also worked for the Minolta Camera Company repairing cameras.
A talented stage performer, she participated in numerous productions throughout the country and enjoyed music.
She is survived by a brother Dennis Kardon of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and her friend and caregiver Kirsten A. Merilo of Valencia, California, and numerous friends in the performance & trucking communities.
Her funeral service and interment at Shalom Memorial Park in Arlington Heights, Illinois was held privately.
