Eileen M. Earley, 90, of New Bedford died Wednesday February 6, 2002 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the daughter of the late James J. and Annie (Smyth) Earley.
Miss Earley was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
She was a former communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Miss Earley was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at Sacred Heart Home.
Miss Earley was a former member of the Hyacinth Circle, Daughters of Isabella and the Robert Emmett Club.She enjoyed traveling to Ireland and was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Marjorie Earley of New Bedford; a niece, Kathleen A. Marotta of North Dartmouth; 4 nephews, Rev. Thomas L. Rita of West Harwich, John Rita of Freetown, Lawrence Rita of California, and Michael O'Leary, Jr. of North Dartmouth; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.She was the sister of the late James Earley, Anna Lucy Earley, Claire O'Leary, Veronica Rita and Hugh T. Earley, and aunt of the late James Rita.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Saturday February 9, 2002 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday February 8, 2002 from 4-7 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
