Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy Frances (Stacey) Kelly, most recently a resident of Arlington and Somerville, the beloved wife of the late Claude John Kelly, died at the Glen Ridge Nursing Center on Thursday, March 17, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was 102 years old.
Born in Louisburg, Canada, on September 30, 1908, she was the beloved daughter of the late A. Wylie and Dora G. (Lacey) Stacey. She was a graduate of Sydney Academy in Canada and Fisher Business College in Boston. Dorothy married her beloved husband, Claude, on October 6, 1930. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Park Avenue Congregational Church in Arlington and had been employed by Boston Terminal Corporation, in the Reservation Department, for more than 16 years. She was also employed by Canada Steamship Lines, as a ticket agent for 8 years and Stone & Webster Engineer’s for more than 5 years.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving children; Frances H. Gonzales of Florida, Richard S. Kelly of California, Charles W. Kelly of Florida and Lawrence R. and his wife Sandra S. Kelly, of California, Claudia D. and her husband Keith L. Truesdale of Arlington, Ronald C. Kelly of California, George J. Kelly of Paxton, brother; Francis W. and his wife Carrie Jean Stacey of Delaware and sister-in-law; Annie C. Stacey. There are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John F. Kelly, sister of the late Eleanor Stevens, Margaret Mackay and Charles H. Stacey and George Stacey.
Visiting hours were in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday, from 4 to 7 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended.
