Phillip V. Fish, 93, of Greenville, formerly of Chula Vista, CA, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Nancy Ann Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Celine Welch Fish and the late Lillian Fish.
He is survived by his daughters Nancy Sinclair and her husband, Donald and Sharon Christian, his stepdaughters Celine Bell and her husband Richard, and Charlene Valk and her husband, Stephen, his grandchildren: Phillip and Edith Sinclair, Laurie Squillaci, Richard Bell, Celine and Christian Ferro and Samuel Valk and four great grandchildren.
He was a 30 year retired Naval Chief Warrant Officer, a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was truly a member of the Greatest Generation. He was an avid Ham Radio enthusiast. He communicated with people around the world as well as with the astronauts in space. He was a member of Georgiaville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be private.
