Of Brockton March 15th, Esther Lillian (83) Widow of James M. Newman died in Brockton Hospital.
Mrs Newman was born in Boston Daughter of the late Lester and Grace (Gagne) Strang. She was a Stapler for Brockton Sole and Plastic Co. for some 35 years. Esther also worked at the Braemoor Nursing home for 14 years. Communicant of the Christ the King Church. She enjoyed bowling, traveling to the various casinos and spending time with her family.
Survivors include 2 Sons Robert Patrick of Brockton and Algene Patrick of Florida. 3 Daughters Yvone(Thayer) Strang, Dawn M. Williams both of Brockton and Rose Smith of Pike, NH. (Also Mother of the late Kenneth Patrick). 21 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held from the home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court St Brockton Wed. March 23rd at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church Brockton at 9 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Kingston. Visition Tues March 22nd from 2-4, 7-9. George F Fiske III Director.
