Henry M. Young, 78, of Bellingham died March 13 in his home following a long illness. He was the husband of Janet L. (Biselli) Young.
Born in Framingham, August 23, 1932, the son of the late John J. and Bertha (Martin) Young, Mr. Young had been a total energy plant engineer for the Commonwealth Gas Company for 40 years before retiring.
Mr. Young served in the Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Specialist Third Class.
He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, the National Defense Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
Henry was a member of the Bellingham V.F.W., the Framingham American Legion and he had enjoyed camping, fishing and listening to country music.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Young and his wife Susan of Millville, Stephen Young and his wife Brenda of Douglas and Elizabeth Corley and her husband John of Bellingham.
He was the brother of the late Helen Howe, and Francis and John Young.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael and Corey Young, Megan and Joshua Corley and 4 great-grandchildren.
His memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22 in St. Brendan’s Church Bellingham at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Scott Cemetery in Bellingham.
