Michael K. O’Rourke, Jr., 43, of Medway died suddenly March 14 at Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken with a heart attack at his home. He was the husband of Teresa M. (Casey) O’Rourke.
Born in Newton, February 5, 1968, the son of Michael K. and Christine (Sullivan) O’Rourke, Sr. of Galway, Ireland, Mr. O’Rourke was raised in Loughrea, County Galway, Ireland and returned to America at the age of 19. He had lived in Hyde Park until moving to Medway 10 years ago.
Mr. O’Rourke was educated in Ireland had been a master electrician working out of Local 103 in Boston.
Michael enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping and being a help to his friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, T.J. O’Rourke, Mikey O’Rourke, John O’Rourke, Cara O’Rourke and Casey O’Rourke, all of Medway.
He is also survived by his sister Kelly Cunningham of Hudson and his brothers Dennis O’Rourke of Marlboro and Kevin O’Rourke of Upton.
He was the brother of the late John O’Rourke.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:30 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:30 a.m.
Interments will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
