Dorothy “Dot” Brinkhaus Kline, 84, of Jeffersontown, died peacefully Thursday, March 10, 2011 at her home.
She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was married for 62 years to Sherman Kline. She graduated from Presentation Academy.
Dot was a homemaker and a retired Volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Services for 25 years and a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Home for St. Edward Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sherman; three children, Susan Moore, Catherine (Douglas) Taggart, of Floyd Knobs, IN and Robert (Kathleen) Kline of Springfield, OH; five grandchildren, Patti McQuillen, Christi (Eric) Osterday, Ashley Taggart, Albert and Robert (Krissy) Kline; three great-grandchildren, Julianna and Sarah McQuillen and Wyatt Kline; a sister, Mary Rita Elsenpeter, Laurel, MT and a brother, Richard (Martha) Brinkhaus.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Monday at St. Edward Church, 9806 Sue Helen Drive, Jeffersontown, with internment in St. Edward Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd.
