Obituary

WORCESTER-Jake H. “Ogie” Tashjian, 51, of Worcester died, Wednesday, March 9th surrounded by his family. He leaves his parents Hagop “Jake” and Virginia (Barsamian) Tashjian; three brothers Steven Tashjian and his wife Gina of Boylston, twin brothers, Mark M. Tashjian and his companion Debbie formerly of West Boylston and Michael M. Tashjian and his wife Darlene of Rutland, two nephews Adam and Ara Tashjian; three nieces, Alexis, Brianna and Rachael Tashjian and many aunts and uncles.
He was born in Worcester; and was a graduate of St. John’s High School and attended Assumption College. Jake had worked as a pharmaceutical technician for several area pharmacies. He was a member of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, the NRA and was a NRA Certified Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun instructor. Jake loved gardening, playing the guitar and was an avid Patriots fan and Elvis fan. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an outdoors man.
The funeral is Monday, March 14th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 a.m in Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home the day of the funeral.
