Obituary

DUDLEY - John A. Krukowski, 87, formerly of Chase Avenue, died Monday, March 7, in Lanessa Extemded Care, Webster.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Victoria M. (Marszalkowski) Krukowski; 3 grandsons, Eric Morin of Plainfield, CT, Shad Morin and Wayne Oster, both of Dayville, CT; and 3 great grandchildren, Jordan, Thomas and Tesla. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia V. Morin of Dayville, CT in 1999.

He was born in Webster and raised in Thompson, CT, the son of Constantino and Frances (Narowska) Krukowski. He lived in Southbridge before moving to Dudley in 1955.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Rhineland and Central Europe.

Mr. Krukowski first worked at Webster Lens Company. He then was a maintenance worker at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster before he retired.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and gardening.

The funeral will be held Friday, March 11, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will perform the military honors at the cemetery. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Friday, March 11, in the funeral home.
