WORCESTER - Evelyn C. (Roy) Meunier, 79, of Worcester, died Tuesday, January 13, at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital.
Mrs. Meunier is predeceased by her husband Alfred Meunier. She leaves a son Denis A. Meunier of Worcester; a sister Jeanne Gervais of Laguna Beach, Calif. One son Jean R. Meunier predeceased Mrs. Meunier. She was born in Worcester daughter of Phillipe and Marie Anne (Houle) Roy.
Mrs. Meunier worked as an expeditor in the shipping department of Paul Revere Insurance Co. for many years.
She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and Past commander of Women’s Auxiliary Auburn VFW. Mrs. Meunier volunteered for the USO during WWII and was also a member of the Cranberry Lake Association.
The funeral will be held on Thursday Jan. 15 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. (www.Royfuneral.com) with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday Jan. 14 in the funeral home.
