Shirley Gail (Dalen) Kimball, 63, of New Bedford died March 7, 2011 at Tremont Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Constance (Markey) McGowan and adopted daughter of the late Severin and Germaine (Corriveau) Dalen, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
She enjoyed crocheting and Bingo.
Survivors include her companion, Paul Barros of Dartmouth; a daughter, Deborah Bolton of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Donald Dalen of Wareham, Charles McGowan of Houston, TX and Michael McGowan of Pennsylvania; a sister, Michelle McGowan of Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Erica Bolton, Bobby Bolton and Brooke Bolton; 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Patrick McGowan.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
