Obituary

Rory D. McElwain, 17, of 43 Rockdale St., died Saturday, January 10, 2004. He leaves his father and stepmother, Robert W. McElwain, Jr., and Adriana McElwain of Worcester and his mother and stepfather, Julie A. (Dodson) Harris and Floyd Harris of N.H., his sister, Monica Harris and his brother, Andrew McElwain, grandparents, Robert Sr. and Madeline McElwain of Billerica, and Vance H. and Marilyn A. Dodson of N.H., several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rory was born in Waltham and lived in Worcester for 5 years. He was a Junior and popular football player at Burncoat High School who had many friends. Highly motivated, he was always the winner in life—happy, loving, hard working, full of laughter—and dreamed of a great future as a Super Bowl hero with many fans. Rory, you will always be remembered and will be in our hearts forever.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2-9 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Rory D. McElwain Scholarship Fund, c/o Sovereign Bank, 446 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608.
