Obituary

Kelleher, Paul E. Sr., of Quincy, passed away March 6, 2011 at the age of 90.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Viola (O’Donnell) Kelleher of Quincy. Devoted father of Marie Collyer and her husband Walter of FL, Paula Moore-Kelleher of Quincy, Nancy Gavin and her husband Peter of Quincy, Richard Kelleher and his wife Mary of Holliston and Paul Kelleher Jr. and his wife Tracy of Somerset. Cherished Pa of 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of the late Marie McCartney, Francis Kelleher and Albert Kelleher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Quincy Morrisette Post 294. He worked for the United States Postal Service in the Back Bay for 30 years, retiring in 1975. Before beginning his career at the Post Office, Paul began what would be a 50 year relationship with Schlossberg-Stanetsky Memorial Chapels in Canton. He served as a part time employee during his time at the Postal Service and later joined the staff full time. Paul’s family describes him as a dedicated family man. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
