KENWORTHY, Helen P., 91, passed away on March 6th, 2011.
She is survived by her sister, Stephanie Siczewicz of North Smithfield, Rhode Island; her son John Kenworthy and family of Glen Rock, NJ and her daughter Barbara Kenworthy-Grainger and family of Mahwah, NJ; her six grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren.
She was an Oradell resident for 60 years. She was born on December 2, 1919 to Jacob and Mary Siczewicz of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the second of five children. Helen earned her RN degree in nursing from Woonsocket Hospital and served honorably as a Second Lieutenant in the 110th Army Air Force during WWII. Her career in nursing and caring for people spanned four decades. She worked as a Registered Nurse with Englewood Hospital for over 20 years and as a Director with the Bergen County Department of Aging for two decades. Her last assignment with Bergen County was at the Senior Center in New Milford, NJ.
Friends and family are invited for visitation at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11th. A funeral service will begin on Saturday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home and then to St. Joseph’s RCC, 300 Elm Street in Oradell for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
