Eunice Smith Traynham, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her residence following a long term illness. Mrs. Traynham was born to James Ira and Bessie Vickers Smith in Ambrose, GA on January 19, 1928. She was retired from a Savings & Loan Company as an assistant vice president and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Douglas, GA where she had taught Sunday School from many years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in the First Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in the Douglas City Cemetery. Survivors include: sons: Jeff (Kim) Traynham, Alma, GA and Joe (Debbie) Traynham, Manahan, SC; grandchildren: Tracy Curry, Sheryl Thompson, Lezlie Rue and Johnathan Traynham; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
