Obituary

DANVERS: Richard E. "Dick" Andrews, 64, formerly of Essex and Kittery, Maine, died February 15, 2011 in the Hunt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Danvers following an extended illness.
Born in Ipswich on May 6, 1946, he was the son of the late William W. and Hazel L. (Young) Andrews. He was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1965.
As a youth, he was involved in both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. His interests were hiking, sports, bowling and tropical fish.
Dick was employed by the former Hood Foam Company in Marblehead.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul R. and his wife, Sheron Andrews of Poland, Maine, William W. Andrews, Jr., and his fiancée, Ellie Grennier of Turner, Maine; a sister Carol E. and her husband, Sam Auditore of Amelia, Ohio; an aunt Elizabeth and her husband, Harry Godfrey; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12th in the Trinity Congregational Church at 11 a.m. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be held privately in the Spring Street Cemetery, Essex. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to The Eliot Community, 15 Broadway, Beverly, MA 01915.
