Richard J. Malafy, MD, 58, of Londonderry, died Sunday January 11, 2004 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry following a sudden illness. Dr. Malafy was born in Newark, NJ on September 27, 1945 a son of the late John and Angela (Kowalski) Malafy. Dr. Malafy had resided in Londonderry for more than 20 years, formerly living in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Malafy had practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Derry for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda M. Malafy of Londonderry, his son, Richard A. Malafy of Marathon, FL, and his daughter, Heather Lynn Malafy of Tampa, FL.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held Saturday January 17th from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St., N.W., Washington, DC 20037.
