Mary Karko 87 of Lawrence died Sunday February 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
Mary’s parents immigrated from Mardine, Turkey in the early 1900’s to Syria where her and her family lived and were active in the Armenian Catholic Church. She spent many wonderful years of her life in Syria, marrying her beloved late husband, Yacoub and raising a wonderful family.
Mary moved to Lawrence over 28 years ago to be close to her family. She attended St. Joseph’s Melkite Church in Lawrence. She was regarded by her many relatives and friends as a loving caring woman. Mary devoted her life to loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 4-8 PM on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA. A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday March 3, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Melkite Church 241 Hampshire St. Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow at the United Lebanese Cemetery 50 Corbett Rd. Lawrence, MA.
