Daena Marie (Lillie) Wilhoite 47, of Wellfleet died unexpectedly at her home on February 25, 2011. She was the wife of Jackie W. Wilhoite who works for the Town of Provincetown. Born in Cape Cod Hospital on February 21, 1964, she was the daughter of Irene M. (Andrews) Lillie of Wellfleet and the late James R. Lillie. She and the granddaughter of Mary Jason of Provincetown. She had lived in Provincetown most of her life and attended Provincetown schools. She worked for 14 years at the Cape End Manor and for 5 years she worked at the Chateau Motel in Provincetown. She and Jackie were married on July 10, 1994. They have lived in Wellfleet for 7 years.
Besides her husband, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her two beloved children, Brandon Lillie and Alexis Wilhoite both of Wellfleet, her sister Jeannette M. Lillie of Cambridge, her two brothers James R. Lillie of Florida and John M. Lillie of California, and two nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Spangle.
A Funeral will be held from the Gately – McHoul Funeral Home 94 Harry Kemp Way Provincetown on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9:15am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Peter the Apostle Church 11 Prince St. Provincetown at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Provincetown Cemetery. All are invited. If desired, memorial contributions in honor of Daena may be sent to Jackie W. Wilhoite 75 Atwood Ave Wellfleet, MA 02667 to help defray funeral costs.
