Lorraine M. Noel 98, formerly of 429 East School St. died Thursday in Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Piette) Noel. She worked as a spinner for the former Bell Worsted Co. and a stitcher for the former Woonsocket Dress Co. before retiring in 1976. She was a former member of the St. Germain Manor Club, Enfant de Marie, Royal Travelers and the St. Joseph Sr. Citizens.
She is survived by three nephews, Robert Noel and Gerard Noel both of Woonsocket, and Andre Noel of MD. She was also the sister of the late J. Gerard and Edouard Noel.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 PM.
